Jackson, the county seat for Cape Girardeau County, is located 110 miles south of St. Louis, Missouri, near the Mississippi River.  A progressive community of over 13,000 residents, Jackson provides its citizens a full range of services that include police and fire protection, municipal electric, water, and sewer services, and residential solid waste collection.
