Public Hearing for Recreational Marijuana Zoning Text Amendments

Notice is hereby given that the Mayor and the Board of Aldermen of the City of Jackson, Missouri, will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, March 20, 2023, at 6:00 P.M., at the Board of Aldermen Chambers, City Hall, 101 Court Street, Jackson, Missouri. The purpose of the hearing will be to consider a text amendment to Chapter 65 (Zoning) regarding the addition of provisions for comprehensive (including recreational) marijuana dispensaries, cultivation facilities, manufacturing facilities, testing facilities, transportation/storage facilities, and consumption lounges in specific zoning districts.

All interested persons are encouraged to attend this hearing to present their statements and comments regarding this proposed text amendment. Opinions and comments may be submitted in writing provided that the writing is signed and states the person’s address and the writing is delivered to the City Clerk prior to the commencement of the Public Hearing.
