Notice to Bid - I-55 Electrical Substation and/or Transmission Distribution Labor and Materials
Separate sealed bids for the I-55 Electrical
Substation and/or Transmission Distribution Labor and Materials to serve the
City of Jackson will be received in the office of the City Clerk at City Hall,
101 Court Street, Jackson, Missouri 63755 until 2:00 PM CST on Wednesday, May
25, 2022, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.
The technical documents and scope of service are
available to bidders by contacting Scott Burleson at Allen & Hoshall by
email at sburleson@allenhoshall.com
or by phone at (901) 261-4639, or may be viewed online at www.jacksonmo.org. Bidders are encouraged to download and review
documents prior to submission. Bids that
do not follow the instructions in Section 00100 INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS may be
disqualified. The bids may be submitted
via hand-delivery or mail.
Bids shall be prepared by the Contractor and
submitted on a proposal form. The
envelopes containing the bids must be sealed, addressed, and designated as bids
for the “Bid for I-55 Electrical Substation Construction and/or Transmission Distribution
Labor and Materials; Attn: City Clerk.”
The work to be done consists generally of: Furnishing labor and material for the
construction of the I-55 Electrical Substation and/or associated 34.5 kV
Transmission and 13 kV Distribution.

The City hereby notifies all bidders that this
contract is subject to applicable labor laws, non-discrimination provisions,
wage rate laws and other federal laws including the Fair Labor Standards Act of
1938. The Work Hours Act of 1962 also
applies. Bidders who agree to provide work under this
Contract must provide a ten-hour OSHA construction safety program or other
similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations of
the State of Missouri, in accordance with Sec.292.675 RSMo.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any
informality or to reject any and all bids.
No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the actual date of
the bid opening. The City may issue
addenda as may be necessary in the best interest of the public and the City of
Jackson. If a contract award is made, it
will be made to the lowest and best, responsive, responsible bidder.
The City of Jackson hereby notifies all bidders
that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to
this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full
opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be
discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in
consideration for an award.
