  2. Boil Water Advisory Lifted on East Jackson Boulevard and June Lane

City officials have announced the Boil Water Advisory is now lifted for the affected businesses on East Jackson Boulevard and residences on June Lane.

An 8-inch water main broke at 2954 E. Jackson Blvd. around 2:00 P.M. on Monday, June 17th.  Water Distribution workers replaced 20 feet of water line, flushed the system, restored the pressure, and returned water service to all customers by 11:00 P.M. on Monday evening.  The city finished testing the water quality this morning and the tests showed no evidence of contamination.

This confirms that the City of Jackson’s water is safe for consumption without boiling and residents can freely drink and use their water.

The city appreciates the patience of its customers as we continue to work through this process.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Public Works Department at 573-243-2300, by visiting us online at jacksonmo.org, or connecting with us on Facebook at Facebook.com/JacksonMO.
