Dwain Hahs, Mayor, presides over the Board of Aldermen, the governing body of Jackson. The mayor and board positions for the City's four wards, two aldermen from each ward, are elected to two year terms in April municipal elections.
The Mayor and Board of Aldermen meet twice a month, regularly scheduled on the first and third Monday each month at 6 PM. Board meetings are held at City Hall, 101 Court Street. Meetings are open to the public and citizens are encouraged to attend. Meeting agendas are available on Friday afternoon prior to each meeting - online, at City Hall, and in local media.
